How to win a photography contest

One of the judges of a major photography contest writes at great length about the things he looks for in a competition winner. A very interesting read if you're into photography, or just curious how these things are judged!

Here Haje Jan Kamps, gives seven pointers to remember when entering into a photo contest so that you can maximize your chances to win.

In this example he had to narrow down the entries from 491 down to 10 for the first round. That means a lot of photos had to go. How can you stay in the top ten?
